About PhysicsCalcs
Clean, reliable physics tools built for understanding.
What is PhysicsCalcs?
PhysicsCalcs is a collection of physics calculators, formula references, and unit conversion tools. It is designed to help students, teachers, and science enthusiasts solve physics problems quickly while also understanding the formulas and concepts behind the answers.
Who is it for?
PhysicsCalcs is built for anyone learning or teaching physics. Whether you are a high school student working through homework, a university student studying for exams, a teacher preparing lessons, or simply someone curious about how the physical world works, these tools are made to be accessible and useful.
Why we built it
Many online calculators give you a number without explaining how it was calculated. We believe that a good physics tool should also be a learning tool. Every calculator on PhysicsCalcs shows the formula used, explains the variables, states the assumptions, and notes any limitations. The goal is not just to compute answers but to help you understand the physics.
Our commitment to accuracy
We take accuracy seriously. Each tool is built around well-established physics equations from standard textbooks. We document the formulas, applicable ranges, and assumptions. That said, these tools are designed for educational use. For professional engineering or safety-critical calculations, always use domain-specific software and consult qualified professionals. See our disclaimer for more details.
Who is behind it
PhysicsCalcs is created and reviewed by Manish Kumar, who brings 15 years of professional experience in electrical systems and metro rail engineering, along with an M.Tech in Power Systems and B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
What is coming
We are actively building calculators across mechanics, kinematics, electricity, waves, thermodynamics, optics, and modern physics. Each tool will include step-by-step formula explanations, variable definitions, and worked examples.
